National Association for Family Child Care Conference

This is the largest gathering of home-based early educators, partners, and champions. There will be sessions and opportunities to deepen your practice with children or programs, hear policy updates, connect with others, and learn the latest on research and best practices.

Highlights include:

• Pre-conference sessions for FCC leaders, network staff, and ECE systems leaders, including a *newly added* session “Building the Momentum for Pre-K in Family Child Care.” See the description below:
  • State, municipal, and district pre-K policy implementation teams will discuss key issues to consider when integrating Family Child Care into pre-K systems. Research findings from the PreK in Family Child Care Project will highlight practical strategies and policy decisions that support effective mixed delivery, including qualifications, compensation, and data systems. Family child care educators are encouraged to join alongside pre-K administrators from their locales. Presenters include Erikson Institute, Delaware Institute for Excellence in Early Childhood, UNC Equity Research Action Coalition, and National Institute for Early Education Research.
  • Keynote sessions featuring FCC leaders and representatives from Fred Rogers Productions and Child Care for Every Family Network.
  • Receptions and awards for FCC leaders in the field and accredited programs.
